January is Zero Waste Month here in the Philippines. But it’s also ideal to think of it in the same way for the rest of the world. As the first month of the year, January is the most optimal time to start doing something good in your life. Hence, the New Year’s resolutions.
We discussed in our first post of the year about sustainable habits. Sustainable habits include going zero waste. As part of the Zero Waste Lifestyle System’s advocacy of raising awareness of the zero waste lifestyle, we will start getting the ball rolling by a Zero Waste Giveaway.

Moving toward a more zero waste lifestyle is on my goals list for 2020! Love the giveaway idea, everything looks great!
Good idea to reduce waste. Using natural products and recyclable things are the least we can do.
A zero waste lifestyle is something I’m becoming passionate about since I’ve started teaching more about conservation and endangered species. Thank you for encouraging and giving us all, but important ways to waste less and to take care of our planet.
I’ve been using shampoo bars to move toward less waste, but would love to adopt more practices with the products in this giveaway!
These are great! We have been really working at reducing our waste over the last couple of years and are working even harder on it in 2020!
This is awesome! I love the zero waste concept.
Great post! I really knew nothing about zero waste living
Great post! We all need to work towards reducing waste and spending mindfully. Thanks for the inspiration and good luck with the challenge!
Those bamboo toothbrushes look so cute. I love finding new zero waste products. Thank you.
Also I’d love to get my hands on that dental care set. I would enter the give away but I live halfway across the world in Kenya and shipping would be insanely costly. Or is that still okay?
Yes, it’s still okay. As long as you provide your address, you will receive the prize should you win any in this giveaway.
I find that if using non electric water filter, that all you add is from the yap, you get clean water and save on plastic bottles or the plastic holder to carry all of them into.
I love the zero waste movement and want to do my part. I still have a tiny bit of hope that the planet can be saved.
I’m trying hard this year to reduce my single use plastics, so I’m glad to see these products.
Great goal for 2020!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Hope you like to read the rest of my articles. Share this to all who needs awareness on sustainable living and environmental issues!
We try to recycle when we can.
How do you maximize your recycling?
I reuse my water bottles.
We all should. Given that the bottled water industry is built upon abuse and environmental degradation by companies such as Nestle.
These products are great ideas for helping to preserve our planet.
Which product would you consider swapping over your current Personal Care routine?
I made a lot of changes in 2019 to be mindful of my waste, particularly plastics. I no longer use single use razors, plastic toothbrushes, and shopping bags. I’ve also changed to cleaner products including sulphate free and green cleaning products. I enjoy reading blogs like this to find out about other products to continue in my clean clean journey.
Wow, that’s so inspiring. You took the leap to be more sustainable even if you had to change a lot in your life.
These are really nice. I am trying to reduce waste by using less paper towels.
That’s a great step towards a less wasteful household! Kudos!
Zero waste is hard but making changes toward zero waste is easy. I adore shampoo/conditioner bars. Shopping the bulk bins in the store is also cheaper.
Yeah, it’s hard to go zero waste, but you can also be creative in how you shop.
I love buying eco-friendly brands especially soap, shampoo and toothpaste.
What brands do you usually buy from?
We live in a green building so we have been trying to be mindful about our consumption for years. Small, but continuous changes become second nature.
How does your building implement green living?
One of my New Years resolutions is to cut down on waste more . I’ve switched many things but still have a ways to go . I really want to try the shampoo bars .
Try reading our post on New Year’s resolutions for a sustainable 2020. You can find more ideas there on living more sustainably this year!
Zero waste is something we should all strive for in everything that we do.
Yeah, we should all strive to live less wastefully
I have been limiting my use of plastic. Love the giveaway items.
That’s great! What steps do you do to limit your plastic use?
I like to use natural products and cutting down waste wgenever possible.
What natural products do you use?
I have changed to cleaner products. Thanks for the chance.
What products are you interested in going zero waste?
Love to live clean and green
How do you live green?
There are so many great reasons to live a zero waste lifestyle. However, as a working mom, I am challenging myself to life that lifestyle. It isn’t easy, but with planning ahead and not being rushed to make school lunches, I can achieve a zero waste lunch for my kids. Small steps are what we need to achieve the ultimate goal.
Yeah, slow and steady is the way to go zero waste. Start with the things you already have!
Love this!
What part of sustainable living do you currently practice?
Perfect time of year for this! Our daughter is really passionate about us joining her in a zero-waste challenge 😉
Great to know that it’s a family effort!
very good for the planet
So many things we don’t think of in the bathroom. Nice to see these. I do the straws, carry folding utensil in case there is plastic, try to buy as little packaging as possible.
a great idea for a giveaway, what with the trend towards zero waste! (and yes, i just entered 😀 )
i have little experience with buying zero waste products but it is something I think is a good idea and I want to start purchasing.
I’m working to focus more on zero waste — this is great. I love the idea of pulling together all these ideas.
The shampoo and conditioner bars intrigue me. I’d love to not have all the bottles out of the way.
I believe in conserving water..i never let water just run..even trying to heat it up..i make sure to use it while getting hot
Wow! This is a crazy cool collection. I have been wanting to try out a bar shampoo and conditioner.
What a great bunch of products!
Haven’t really heard much about Zero Waster here in the US, but I am sure it is going to gain more popularity in the near future seeing how more and more young people & you adults are becoming more environmentally aware.
Thank you for this opportunity. Your blog is very informative.
Super cool ideas! Thanks!
Great post. Here in the Virgin Islands straws have been banned at all restaurants. I never go into a grocery store without my reusable bags.
Thanks for the information.
